General Questions
  • Can I have a garage sale?
Individual garage sales, while not disallowed, are not recommended. The gates cannot and will not be opened for those residents hosting their own garage sale. At no time is a resident allowed to post their personal gate code by the gate for people to enter our community. Such signs will be immediately removed and discarded.

To allow people into the community, they must call your home via the gate callbox and you must grant them access. If you are not programmed into the gate system, please contact the Property Manager on the Contact Us page.

Forest Ridge does host 3-4 community garage sales per year in which the gates are opened and signage is placed outside the community informing passers by of the event. Dates to be announced online, via the newsletter, and internal community bulletin boards. These community garage sales usually occur once per quarter.

  • Can I paint the exterior of my home? Do I have to notify anyone?
Forest Ridge does not currently have any restrictions on the color choices for exterior paint on your home. We kindly ask that you stick to neutral colors that go with the flow of the neighborhood.
  • How do I get a gate remote?
The HOA President has new gate remotes available for purchase. They are $25.00 each and payment is due upon receipt of the new remote. Checks can be made payable to Forest Ridge Homeowner's Association, Inc.

Click on "Contact Us" and then scroll to "Gate Remote Request" and fill in your information. Someone will contact you shortly to make arrangements to get you a new remote.
  • How do I let someone in at the gate?
Your last name is added to the scrolling list of numbers in the call box. When someone selects your name and presses "Call", the system calls you and you can talk with them through the call box with your phone. To allow them entry, press 9 on your phone. You will hear a long tone confirming the gate is opening. You can then hang up at anytime. To deny them entry, simply hang up.

Please note, in order for you to allow entry, the person has to call you through the gate call box. Calling you from a cell phone will not work.
  • I'm a new resident, and I need the gate programmed to my phone, who do I contact?
You should contact PMS Property Management at 727-216-3217 and talk to Sue DiGrandi. Sue will take down your information and assign you a gate code. Gate codes are updated by the end of the following business day.
  • My gate remote is not working at either entrance. What should I do?
You may need to replace the battery. If replacing the battery does not correct the problem, contact the HOA President or the Property Manager for a new remote. You can contact them by clicking on the Contact Us page and choosing them from the drop down menu.

There is a $25.00 fee for a new remote. Make checks payable to Forest Ridge Homeowner's Association, Inc.

Security
  • A Pinellas County Sheriff's patrol car and/or helicopter is in the area, and it looks like something is going on - how can I find out what's happening?
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Department web site has an Active Call page on their website. It does not necessarily show all calls, but you may find what you're looking for. In the meantime, it is best to stay in your home in case there is an investigation taking place.

  • I've noticed a suspicious car or activity - should I call someone?
YES! Please report any and all suspicious activity, regardless of how insignificant you think it might be. Contact the Sheriff's office at 727-582-6200 or dial 911 if it is an emergency.

Also let the Neighborhood Watch chairperson know if you see anything suspicious. You can contact that person via the Contact Us page and choose Neighborhood Watch from the drop down menu.

  • What police agency serves our neighborhood?
Forest Ridge is in unincorporated Pinellas County, and as such we are serviced by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, not Tarpon Springs PD.

To contact the Sheriff department, dial 727-582-6200 for non-emergencies. When you report something, you can mention that we are serviced by Squad 8.
